The NOSLS Interpreter Training Academy and Mentoring (ITAM) Program is a comprehensive, fully structured development pathway designed to support interpreters through every stage of their growth. The ITAM Program integrates all core components of professional interpreter development into one cohesive program.

Participants receive weekly ASL and English instruction, guided interpreting labs for both PreK–12 and Community settings, interpreter exam preparation, ethics case conferencing, and access to Deaf Language Models. The ITAM Program also includes personalized, one‑on‑one mentoring, ensuring each interpreter receives targeted feedback and support tailored to their goals.

The ITAM Program is ideal for interpreters who want a complete, structured, and consistent training experience. It provides the full depth and accountability of a mentoring program while adding the weekly classes, practice opportunities, and curriculum needed for long‑term, measurable progress.
